Our mission is to serve people — residents, team members and our neighbors in the greater community. As a faith-based, not-for-profit organization, our sole purpose is to serve older adults, by providing beautiful and quality environments to enhance lifestyles at every level of independence.
The Westminster Communities of Florida story starts in 1954, and today we’re happy to serve more than 7,000 residents in 23 communities throughout the state, offering active, independent living, assisted living and nursing care in our Life Plan Communities, as well as affordable communities for low-income seniors.
Our amenities include:
- We have an investment-grade A- bond rating from Fitch Ratings, and a combined $44 million in state-required reserves and total reserves of $339 million.
- Westminster Communities of Florida, based in Orlando, provides leadership and management services to its communities in the areas of finance, healthcare, marketing and sales, human resources and resident experience. Our leadership team is nationally recognized for their expertise in the field of senior living.
- We have a Mission-driven commitment to creating and maintaining excellent residential communities, and a history of acquiring distressed communities and preserving their Mission.
- Westminster Communities of Florida has a history and Mission of service to senior adults since 1954.
- As a not-for-profit, we are committed to reinvesting our earnings into capital improvements and reserves. Last year, for instance, we invested $44 million in capital improvements to our communities.
- We are good stewards of our residents’ resources, and as a result, our monthly service fees have increased an average of just 2.5% per year over the last 10 years.
- We are proud to provide peace of mind and assurance to residents that our Benevolent Assistance funds, part of the Westminster Communities Foundation, are available to provide financial relief so that residents may to continue to live at Westminster Lakeland.
